The Batiqutos Lagoon Dredging project removed approximately 118,000 CY of beach quality sand from the central basin placed it on the adjoining beach with a 12” cutterhead suction dredge. Additionally, the west basin was machine excavate to improve the tidal inundation to this area and improve overall water quality. Finally, a rock slope was construction on the edges of the west basin nesting site for scour protection.
